5)      Iowa Governor’s Pheasant Hunt, 2 participants.  The Hawkeye Commodities Company of Grimes is donating two spots for hunters to join their team on the annual Iowa Governors Pheasant Hunt.  This hunt will be held in late October to mid-November, and the teams will be picked by the Governor’s staff.  The specific date and location will be determined by the Governor’s staff.  Hawkeye Commodities has been a Governor’s Hunt sponsor for more than ten years.  This donation includes a dinner on Friday evening with the Governor and other dignitaries.  This will be followed by the hunt on Saturday morning with lunch to follow.  All participants have received a commemorative gift in the past.  The winning bidder is responsible for their own transportation to the hunt location, their own license and stamp, shotgun, ammunition, and any lodging.  Please contact bowen475@gmail.com for more information.  Donor’s Valuation: $2,500

24)   Over 200 Board-feet of Cured & Planed Cherry Wood.  John and Linette Boden of Des Moines generously donate 218 Board Feet of Southern Iowa Cherry Wood.  This wood was harvested 20 years ago and has been cured and planed two sides.  There are 78 boards 0.75” thick and two boards 1.75” thick, ranging in length from 3.5’ to 8’ and widths of 4” to 12”.  This is 450’ in length of beautiful Cherry wood.  Winning bidder to pick up wood south of Des Moines, Iowa.  Average cost for Cherry wood at a ‘Big Box Store’ is $10/board foot.  Donor’s Valuation: $2,100

42)   6-day Alpine Chamois Hunt in Slovenia for 1 hunter and 1 observerHunt in Europe again donates a great hunt.  This is a 6 day (4-hunt/2-tourism) rifle hunt in Slovenia for an Alpine Chamois for one hunter and one observer.  Included in the donation are: guiding, transfer to and from the nearest airport, all meals and lodging, hunting license, all ground transport during the hunt, measurement, one day visit to Bled Lake, and one day visit to Ljubljana.  Hunting season is August 1 through January 31 and the hunt can be upgraded for additional animals.  Hunt can be taken in the 2018 or 2019 season.
